Hair-raising awareness

Gary Jones, two time cancer survivor from Timberlea, ceremoniously shaved his head and his beard in advance of his bike ride across Canada. At the age of 70, Gary is taking his love for cycling across Canada to raise funds and awareness for two of the country’s fastest growing cancers.

In honour of his 70th birthday, Gary’s goal is to raise $70,000 for thyroid cancer research at the QEII Health Sciences Centre and prostate cancer awareness trough Prostate Cancer Canada Atlantic Region. For more information, visit prostatecancer.ca.
